About the Role:
As a Print Number 2, you’ll work alongside the Print Number 1 to set up and run the press, ensuring our products meet the highest quality and efficiency standards. You’ll play a key role in maintaining production performance, reducing waste, and keeping our operations running safely and smoothly.
In the absence of the Print Number 1, you’ll take responsibility for running the press and leading the team to maintain output and quality expectations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Supporting press setup, operation, and quality control across all titles.
- Monitoring and maintaining performance to achieve production and efficiency targets.
- Conducting maintenance, cleaning, and pre/post-run checks to required standards.
- Working collaboratively to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Providing technical assistance and guidance to team members and managers.
- Ensuring Health & Safety standards are met and promoting a safe working environment.
- Taking part in training and development activities to support your growth.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in the lithographic print process, including press operation, set-up, colour control, plating, and reel room procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with the MAN PECOM print control system (preferred).
- A formal print qualification or apprenticeship (preferred).
- A proactive, safety-conscious, and quality-driven approach to work.
