We are looking for an Assistant Production Manager to support our Production Manager in delivering high-quality, efficient manufacturing at our Eurocentral site. You will play a key role in ensuring operational performance, quality standards, and production targets are consistently met.


About the Role

As an Assistant Production Manager you will either support Manufacturing Control duties or oversee our print teams to ensure smooth production. You’ll also manage the Computer To Plate (CTP) process, including file flow and plate sortation, ensuring everything is ready for press operations.

Working collaboratively across departments, you’ll act as a central link between Production Management and the print teams, ensuring clear communication, alignment of priorities, and seamless workflow. You will also provide leadership, technical guidance, and calibration support as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing processes to meet production and distribution schedules.
  • Manage file flow, plate output, and plate sortation in CTP.
  • Lead and guide teams to solve problems, improve efficiency, and maintain site KPIs.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and proactively resolve issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to ISO standards.
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all production areas.
  • Plan, support, and develop your team and yourself for future progression into Production Management.

Skills & Experience: 

  • Leadership or supervisory experience within a production environment.
  • Experience in newspaper manufacturing and lithographic processes preferred.
  • Experience with computer-to-plate processing is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead teams to deliver high-quality output under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and confident decision-making.
  • Proficient in relevant technology and production systems.
